Welcome to FoodBites. By using our website and services, you agree to these terms. Please read them — they’re written to be clear rather than clever.
FoodBites is a consumer price-comparison service operated by ExpenseHut LLC (Round Rock, Texas). These terms are specific to FoodBites. They are separate from ExpenseHut’s point-of-sale and merchant agreements — so the strict merchant terms in the ExpenseHut Terms do not apply to your use of FoodBites. Where a general ExpenseHut term is relevant (for example, company-wide policies), that document applies alongside this one.
Using FoodBites
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use FoodBites for your personal, non-commercial purpose of comparing prices. In return, you agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the service, or overload it with automated requests.
- Copy, resell, or redistribute our data or content for a competing service.
- Interfere with the service’s security or normal operation, or misuse it unlawfully.
The service is provided as a convenience and may change, pause, or be discontinued at any time. We may update these terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
For customers — prices are estimates
The prices you see on FoodBites are estimates, shown to help you compare the likely cost of an order across nearby restaurants.
We work hard to keep prices accurate and to show you when each was last verified — but prices can change, promotions come and go, and menus are updated by restaurants at their own pace. The actual price you pay may differ. FoodBites estimates the food subtotal only; it does not include taxes, fees, tips, delivery, or service charges. Always treat our numbers as a guide, and confirm the final price with the restaurant before ordering. We are not the seller, are not affiliated with the restaurants listed, and are not responsible for the availability, quality, or final pricing of any order.
For restaurants — public data only, and your choice
If your restaurant appears on FoodBites, here’s exactly what we do and don’t do with your information. In short: we don’t take your data — we only reference a small amount of public menu information, like item titles and listed prices.
What we use — public data only
- Menu item titles (e.g. “10 Pc Traditional Wings”)
- Menu categories (e.g. Wings, Burgers, Sides)
- Prices as publicly listed
- Public address / location, for distance search
What we never take
- Logos, branding, fonts, or themes
- Photography or other creative assets
- Internal systems, sales, or customer data
- Any proprietary or confidential information
Menu information is sourced from publicly accessible places such as a restaurant’s own website, and we record the source and the date it was last verified — shown alongside every price so diners know how fresh it is. We do not access your point-of-sale, your accounts, or any private system, and we never sell your information.
You’re in control. You can update your listed prices with us, or opt out and have your restaurant removed from FoodBites entirely — no questions asked. Just contact us → and we’ll take care of it.
Intellectual property
The FoodBites name, site, and software are owned by ExpenseHut LLC. Restaurant names and publicly listed menu details remain the property of their respective owners; we reference them only to provide the comparison service.
Disclaimers & liability
FoodBites is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ExpenseHut LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from price differences, menu inaccuracies, or reliance on the estimates shown. Nothing here limits any rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law & contact
